Round about Coltrane Terre Lente goes Jazz! In the 50th anniversary year of John Coltrane's death, we will celebrate him with a whole afternoon of inspiring jazz. Sandro Fazio will present his just released CD - Dear Trane with the quartet DEAR LORD Sandro Fazio - electric and midi guitar Francesco Bearzatti - tenor saxophone Felix Barth - bass, electronics, vocals Bartho Staalman - drums, electronics, vocals DEAR LORD is inspired by John Coltrane’s genius and created in an attempt to parallel the emotional intensity of the great American saxophonist’s compositions. Infused with contemporary sounds, experiences and musical acquisitions, they are given a new life. The band’s songs, which have been totally re-arranged by front man Sandro Fazio, were re-written by trying to imagine how Coltrane would have composed them today. It was an arduous task, considering the magnitude of the composer, but the compositions still remain true to his intentions. The project idea comes from the certainty that the best way to remain faithful to Coltrane is the search for modernity. www.dearlordmusic.com 15:00 Walk in 15:30 Concert "Dear Lord" 17:00 Drinks and aperitivo by Terre Lente Admission fee: 15 EUR Info and Reservations: only via info@terrelente.com until july, 5th Limited space « I’ve found you’ve got to look back at the old things and see them in a new light.» J.
